We're looking for a new home
Our Celtic society is seeking a new monthly meeting location in Murphys, Sonora or Angels Camp. We are suspending our meetings, as of December 2017, as our members regroup.
Our last meeting room accommodated 40 people, served alcohol and was free to use. Please contact Chief Don Burns to recommend a future meeting site in one of the three foothill towns mentioned above.
But, please join us at our Irish-Scottish club events listed on this page.
Cead mile failte!
Based in the scenic and historic California foothills, the Western Sierra Celtic Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Irish and Scottish culture, education and entertainment.
Founded in June 2017, our membership is open to all -- regardless of family ancestry or owning a kilt.
We will host Irish- and Scottish-themed events, including: a Robert Burns Supper, Kirkin' of the Tartan church service, Irish-Scottish concerts, Scotch and Irish whisky tastings and Celtic cultural programs. Our members also march in community parades and greet festival visitors from our club information tent.

Saturday, March 17 Murphys Irish Days
Our Western Sierra Celtic Society will be busy that day with many fun activities celebrating Murphys' Irish heritage. We will march in the 11 a.m. downtown community parade. Please gather in the Murphys Creek Community Theater parking lot, 580 South Algiers Street, between 10 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. After the parade, help promote our Irish-Scottish club at our information tent on Main Street until 5 p.m.
